Military Veterans

Of Olivedale

Walter Uvis Stambaugh passed away on October 2, 2017 at the Fairfield Medical Center. Walter was born on October 19, 1942 to the late Paul and Arnie Stambaugh in Pickerington, Oh.

Walter is survived by his sisters, Avis M. (Gary) Smith, and Mavis (Robert) Doolittle; nephews, Todd Stambaugh, Edward Stambaugh, and Scott Smith; child by choice, Lisa (Ted) Turner; and grandchildren by choice, Nathan, Brittany, Elizabeth, and Andrew.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia; and brothers, Arvis (Mary), Ivis (Judy), and Alvis Stambaugh.

A funeral service was held at 12:30 P.M. on Friday, October 6, 2017 at the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME officiated by Pastor Tony Hudson. Burial followed the service at Wesley Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Olivedale Veteran’s Group, 253 Boving Rd., Lancaster, OH, 43130

The Military Veterans Of Olivedale provides support, in the form of monetary and voluntary help, to community veterans groups assisting homeless and otherwise distressed veterans. It also promotes social contact and provides activities among former members of the United States military who are members of the Olivedale Senior Center.

Military Veterans of Olivedale is a 501(c)(3) Charity.
