Lewis Bell

Lewis V. Bell, 91, of Lancaster passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at his residence. He was born on August 30, 1933 in Junction City, Ohio to the late Walter and Ethel Purvis. Lewis served in the U.S. Army. He retired from McAuley Manufacturing in Bremen. Lewis was a member of Lighthouse Memorial Church, Millersport and Olivedale Senior Citizens. He will be remembered for enjoying the outdoors, an avid gardener and being proud of his flowers. Lewis also enjoyed bowling, golf and working on TV’s.

Lewis is survived by his loving wife Carolyn Bell, daughters Pamela Koch and Cindy Warner; four step-children and their extended families to include Brenda Gorsuch, Kathryn Gorsuch and Mary Gorsuch; grandchildren Jessica (Adam) Cox, Brittnee (Matt) George and Brandon (Sam Mace) Warner, great grandchildren Devon Pugh and Maddelyn George, brother Robert (Bonnie) Bell and sister Donna Miller and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his, parents, first wife Shirley Bell, second wife Dian Bell, son-in-law Ron Koch and great granddaughter Melody George.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 17, 2025 at the Lighthouse Memorial Church, 2600 Walnut Rd Rt. 79 Millersport, OH 43046. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 5-8 pm at the Sheridan Funeral Home, Lancaster and from 10:00am to the time of the service on Friday.
