Roger Jordan
March 20, 1945 - July 12, 2023
Roger W. Jordan, age 78 of Lancaster, passed away on July 12, 2023 at Fairfield Medical Center. He was born in Harlan, Kentucky on March 20, 1945 to the late Roy and Ruby Jordan. Roger proudly served his country in the Army during Vietnam. He was a member of Knights of Columbus and recently joined the V.F.W. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Roger is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara (Jackson) Jordan; children, Jenny (Rich) Heimberger, Jacqueline Christman, and Jeremy Jordan; 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, two sisters, sister-in-law, Carol (Steven) Boyer, brothers-in-law, Jeff (Joy) Jackson and Edward Jackson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Paul Jordan, and sisters, Janice Cummings, Joan Jordan, and Jody Evdokimoff.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at SHERIDAN FUNERAL HOME. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery with Military Honors. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday.
The Military Veterans Of Olivedale provides support, in the form of monetary and voluntary help, to community veterans groups assisting homeless and otherwise distressed veterans. It also promotes social contact and provides activities among former members of the United States military who are members of the Olivedale Senior Center.
Military Veterans of Olivedale is a 501(c)(3) Charity.
