Military Veterans
Of Olivedale
Robert E. Miller, of Lancaster, passed away on April 25, 2024. He was born to the late Eldo and Pauline Miller in Amanda, OH on May 3, 1930.
Robert graduated with the Liberty Union class of 1948. He was a proud member of the United States Army and Korean War Veteran. He was a member of Olivedale Senior Center, a 70 year member of the Baltimore Ohio VFW, and lifelong member of the Millersport American Legion.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Miller; children, Larry (Sonna) Miller and Linda (John) Johnson; grandchildren, Jason (Nicole) Miller, Jeremy (Erika) Miller, Aubrey (Jared) Grove; Lori (Greg) Granger; and Andrew Johnson; great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Boston, Noah, Ella, Cooper, Peyton, Maddison, Hayley, Liam, and Gavin; sisters, Evelyn Miller and JoAnn (Earl) Fauble; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Marjorie Grooms and June Miller, and parents.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 12 PM in the FRANK E. SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 405 N Columbus St., Lancaster, OH 43130. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Memory Gardens. Family and Friends may visit from 10 AM until the time of the service on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to FairHoPe Hospice Pickering House, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, OH 43130.
The Military Veterans Of Olivedale provides support, in the form of monetary and voluntary help, to community veterans groups assisting homeless and otherwise distressed veterans. It also promotes social contact and provides activities among former members of the United States military who are members of the Olivedale Senior Center.
Military Veterans of Olivedale is a 501(c)(3) Charity.
