John David Doner  (Military Veterans of Olivedale member)


John David Doner, age 87, passed away on May 12, 2020 following a brave battle with cancer. A life long resident of Clearcreek Township (Amanda) Ohio, John is preceded in death by his wife Cordelia (Dee) Doner. John is survived by his son, David (Anita); daughter, Brenda (Mike); and granddaughter Sarah. John was a retired glass factory worker at Anchor Hocking Lancaster. John enjoyed senior travel, bingo and watching the birds and deer in his yard. John was a member of the Military Veterans of Olivedale and the Pickaway County Senior Center. The family thanks the caring staff of The Ridge at Lancaster and FAIRHOPE Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests honoring John with a donation to FAIRHOPE Hospice and Palliative Care Inc, 282 Sells Road, Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or Military Veterans of Olivedale, 253 Boving Road, Lancaster, Ohio 43130, or by hanging a bird feeder for others to enjoy. Graveside service and burial at 11am on Friday, May 15, 2020 at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens in the 'Garden of the Cross' Canal Winchester. Day Funeral Service is honored to serve the family of John Doner.

The Military Veterans Of Olivedale provides support, in the form of monetary and voluntary help, to community veterans groups assisting homeless and otherwise distressed veterans. It also promotes social contact and provides activities among former members of the United States military who are members of the Olivedale Senior Center.

Military Veterans of Olivedale is a 501(c)(3) Charity.
